The punch line is, "I never do," and the setup is everything before that. "False" is the key word. In the gunman's phrase, "false move," it means "sudden or unexpected." Galt uses it to mean "dishonest or untrue."

The setup tells us this is an epitaph. The punch line is the writing on the tombstone. Bobby equivocates on the word "lie" by using it to mean both "repose at death" and "tell a falsehood."
